「ホテル日航成田」のメインダイニングであるビュッフェレストランの改装計画である。成田国際空港近郊にあることから、空港を利用する旅行客や外国人客も多く訪れ、インターナショナルな旅や休暇を感じさせる空間が必要とされた。店内はホテルに合わせたシンプルでコンテンポラリーな空間でありながら、洗練されたカジュアル感とリゾート感を出すことをテーマにしている。ビュッフェエリアにはキッチンの清潔で躍動的な雰囲気を、客席エリアには落ち着いて食事のできる居心地の良さを表現し、この両エリアを区切るように象徴的なディスプレイ棚を配置することでそれらの緩やかな関係性を実現している。また、ハンドメイドによるビュッフェエリアのペンダントと客席エリアのフロアスタンドが、この両エリアを繋ぐキーエレメントとして存在し、空間にメリハリを与えている。ハイランクでありながら、どこか緩さも持ち合わせたリゾートな空間。ここでしか感じられない空気の中で、贅沢な時間を過ごして欲しい。（藤井文彦／ファン）

The renovation project of the main dining place, a buffet-style restaurant of “hotel nikko narita”. Because the hotel is located close to Narita international airport, there are many tourists and foreign visitors. The restaurant needed to be matched with international travels and vacations. The theme of interior design is to be a simple and contemporary space which fits the hotel itself and create sophisticated casualness with the look of a resort. The buffet area expresses a clean and vigorous atmosphere and seats area comfortableness with which people can enjoy eating. The symbolic display shelves split these two areas and realize their fluent relationship. Hand-made pendant luminaires in the buffet area and floor lamps in the seats area exist as key elements to connect two areas and give a contrast to the space. This is the high rank but still relaxed resort space. We hope you will spend luxurious time in this atmosphere which can only be found here. (Fumihiko Fujii/ fan inc.)
